When this Ripped jeans controversy arise, we all have questions in mind, whether dress represented one’s mentality, ideology and character?
We all knew dresses represented person issues of expression or religion. It’s not always right to judge people religion by their dresses as we already seen an example in Amir Khan Movie “PK”. Then how can we judge person mentality, ideology or character by their dresses. Sometimes awful dressing sense people are rich as because they didn’t waste time to update their fashion but we live in a society where people judge by their dressing sense.
Statement given by Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat “Rawat went on to describe the attire of a woman who sat next to him on a flight. He described her as wearing boots, jeans ripped at the knees, bangles in her hands and said she had two children traveling with her. He added that the woman runs an NGO, goes out in society and has two children and wondered what values she would give them.”
One’s person mentality, ideology or character depend how one’s brought up by their parents, which peers/environment they are hang out with. It’s a sick mentality to judge people mentality, ideology or character by their dressing sense. People dress in which there feel comfortable with, yes vulgarity can’t be tolerate in India but ripped jeans didn’t come under vulgarity definition otherwise Indian government should band ripped jeans sale/advertisement in India .
